Alizarin wine specialises in wines from the Mediterranean, especially wines that are a bit unusual or hard to obtain in the UK.
Currently we are importing some great red wines from Spain, from Utiel-Requena near Valencia, including reds from the Bobal grape, which is almost unique to this region. Also a fantastic Cava, an easy drinking white and a quality sweet muscat.
We're recently added a selection of wines from Greece, including some whites from the Assyrtiko grape which is one of our favourite Greek grape varieties.
We hope to be shortly adding more selections from Italy, Southern France and elsewhere.
